again about the job

Goddness.. Sorry that I was not able to post some stuff. I was busy as hell. I turned into a real hardworking guy. After I worked several days as a bartender my boss figured out that she wants me to do a different work. So nowI am responsible for the stock of three bars and restaurants, the computersystem and the data entry. Because of that my working hours changed as well. I have to start always about 10am, which I think is really cool, and I finish when my tasks are done, which is something between 4pm and 9pm. I have to work like six days a week. I think this is really a job a can earn money for traveling. I don't meet that much customers anymore but still I have contact to the people that work at the bars. They are really cool and funny and they come from everywhere around the world. Even a few kiwis work there. Which is quite special. Until I started that job I met like 2 or 3 real New Zealand people and now I work with kiwis.
Cool!
By the way. I've never ate that much kiwis before and now I am talkin' about the fruits. They are just cheap and great. I never had so tastefull kiwis in my entire life before. Actually all the food has a much higher standard than the crap we got in Germany. The stuff I got here at my local supermarket can be compared with the quality of Lafayette or Kadewe and guess what: It is cheaper!
OK that'll do!
oh no I forgot something: weather! Pure sunshine! It is spring now. Which means something over 20 degrees. Maybe 23-24°C and no rain.
And at last: SOON IS MY BIRTHDAY! I want you to post or send me mails at the 30th of September.

Jobsituation changed....

Because the callcenter neither provides training this week I started a new job!
Yesterday night my career in NZ - Auckland NIGHTLIFE began!
After I've been to a trip on a beautiful island called "Waiheke Island" which is just 35 minutes from Auckland by ferry , I just got this job. I 've been to a nice vineyard and did some vinetastings. And the lovely people who owned the place just asked me if I want a job. Now I figured out how it really works with the job thing here...
The good thing is that the family really owns a lot of stuff down here. They have several bars, restaurants, and clubs. Not to forget about the vineyard (really great vine!). And if you are part of their crew you probably will get around the area for a while. So now I have the oppurtunity to either work maybe on this island on a café or on their vineyard or here in Auckland in the bars and clubs.
Yesterday night was hard work but really funny in a cool crew. One german guy, one danish, one american and two brasilian girls plus maori security. as we say here: cool? cool!

more pics

hej again.

Last time I reported a bit of some strange things that a recognized down here. Today will follow some more facts about the Kiwis.
Actually I do have a TV in my appartement so that I am able to watch some stuff from time to time. I even dared to watch the NZ - News, which is really not that easy. The reason for this is just because they are incredible boring and funny at the same time. This country has absolutely no sorrows or problems as it seems. The most important thing that is going on at the moment is that the Prime-Minister , I think, have had once an affair with someone. That's almost all what the news are about. Oh not to forget about the weatherforecast and that the NZ-Female-Rugby-Team, THE ALL-BLACKS(female), have one the worldcup. They bet England in the final in Canada!
Sometimes you can hear something what the Pope have said. But this is just like an two seconds remark. Whereas the affair-thing takes at least 15minutes and the rugby stuff another 15 minutes.
That's about TV.
Now I want to write something about the lefthand-driving thing. I think it is the most stupid system ever! People here do not seem to get along with it theirself. I mean I have never been to a country before where people are just so lousy at park their car inte to a free parking lot. It looks really dangerous what they are doing here and they always end with minimum half a meter space to the sidewalk.
I am actually just happy that I was not hit by a car in the first days!! But now I get used to it and I start watching in the right directions.
Next time I will probably write something about going out here and popular music down here.

"Party Pills" and other stuff

hej folks. After several days blog pause comes a brand new entry.
This time you will learn something about the habits of the kiwis, I mean the people not the bird. Actually they are quite funny.

First thing is that everyone is kind of crazy. Second thing is that they just love Rugby. This strange sport is everywhere around. You go to a park and you will always see guys with a rugby in their hand. Even if they are just out for a walk with their girl.

Another strange thing are "Party Pills"!

In New Zealand they sell in 24hours stores things called "Party Pills". They look like fucking real party drugs and probably are. It says on them that they are just legal in NZ and you will be probably sentenced by a court if you take them out of the country. These pills promise you to party like minimum eight hours or another brand promises you a total personal change or a psychodelic trip. Really strange stuff. I have heard from some guys who took them that they just got crazy and were on a trip for like two days. And this stuff is totally legal here. And actually NZ is country that has quite strict laws about drugs. I mean they do not allow snus... and for the smokers cigarettes are expensive as hell. One package costs more than 6euro.
But of course I will not test these pills on myself.

Next blog entry will come soon. I think I have to write something about the lefthand driving.

job!!!

I just found a job today. After I past a little english-test I am going to be a callcenter-agent. Fortunately it is no selling, but just market research. Only problem is that I have to wait for at least one week until I can start working, because I need to do a training before I am allowed to start.
But better than nothing. And the best at last... It is much better paid than most jobs around here ;-)
More pictures will come soon.

Auckland and the Rainjacket

Today is the first day with really good weather. It was mostly raining cats and dogs until today. Actually I was mentally prepared to that. But my problem was that I did not have a rainjacket. I just thought go out and buy one. But when I looked around in the city I discovered that all the shops did not have rainjackets at all or they charged like 300euro for one. I was in the whole city in like every store... But finally yesterday I found one. Just 50eur from Quicksilver...
It will probably not rain again.

But besides this I am just fine. Auckland is a lovely city and all Kiwipeople are really nice.
I just moved into a something like a appartement. It is like a one room flat with bathroom and kitchen. But I have to share with three girls. Well could be worse. :)
The only problem is that I did not find a job yet. It seems that all shops are looking for someone. They all take your CV and say: "yes!! we need staff. We'll give you a call."
OK. It is time for the beach...

Next post will come soon.

Just arrived!

hej , just arrived in NZ! After a very very long flight, took me more than 30 hours with a terrible boring stop in Seoul, I am in my hostel in Auckland. I just had a look at the city. Everything seems to be nice and folks are extremly friendly. So that's it for the moment. More details will follow. I am so tired. I will fall asleep very soon.

p.s: I just can't post any pictures at the moment because this stupid youth hostel has no wlan and the Internetcafe doesn't allow to plug in any electronical devices like my cam.

My bags are packed...

Tomorrow I will leave to New Zealand. It is going to be hard and long flight. Something about 30!!!hours with several hours stop in Seoul/South Korea. Hopefully I will get good food on the airplane.
On the picture above you can see all my luggage excluding the handluggage.
Actually I am a bit excited right now...
